This was a full length feature film done by the same folks who did Cowboy Bebop, my all time favourite anime series and movie.
So how was it? It was amazing. Beautiful hand drawn 2D animation comfortably meshed with digital animation. Fluid fast combat with swords clashing. I truly needed to see a film like this as anime series as a whole have truly begun to disappoint me.
This was a film set in feudal Japan. An unnamed stranger, a swoardsman with a mysterious past, helps a child that is to be sacrificed in some ancient Chinese ritual. Besides the fantastic animation and a great story it was nice to see them have chinese characters speak in chinese. It added a very nice element to the film.
This was a one time, one night viewing, now it's just a matter of time to wait on the DVD.
Which I will buy, as soon as I can.
Rent it as soon as you can!!!
